Ultralight Dyneema Construction
Every gram counts when you're carrying your gear up a peak. The Yeti Xtrem 2 is constructed using premium 12mm Kevlar and 25mm Dyneema webbing, achieving a weight of just 270g (size S). This high-tenacity material choice ensures that while the harness is incredibly light, it remains durable enough for rigorous mountain use. Its minimalist design allows it to pack down to a tiny volume, easily fitting into the smallest alpine rucksacks.
Optimized for Technical Alpine Use
Preparing for launch on a steep slope or rocky ridge requires gear that simplifies the process. The Yeti Xtrem 2 features a split-leg geometry with leg straps that can be opened completely. This allows you to step into the harness easily even while wearing heavy mountaineering boots, skis, or crampons. Once airborne, the floating shoulder straps and adjustable lateral straps allow you to find an ergonomic flying position with ease.
Full Functionality in a Minimalist Package
Unlike many minimalist harnesses that offer only a basic seat, the Yeti Xtrem 2 includes a fully functional speed system. The geometry is designed so that applying the speed bar doesn't distort the seat shape, ensuring efficiency and comfort throughout the flight. It is part of Gin’s versatile Yeti range, meaning it pairs perfectly with a front-mounted Yeti rescue and a lightweight Yeti wing for the ultimate mountain kit.
