Gin Puma: The Lightweight Speed Machine
The Gin Puma is a high-performance, lightweight 2-liner paraglider built for pilots who live at the intersection of hike-and-fly and elite cross-country racing. By optimizing the internal structure and material selection of the acclaimed Leopard, Gin has created a wing that is light enough for the most demanding mountain trails yet fast enough to break distance records. It is arguably one of the highest-performing lightweight EN-D wings ever produced.
Uncompromised 2-Line Performance
Unlike many lightweight wings that sacrifice performance for weight savings, the Puma retains all the high-performance DNA of the 86-cell Leopard. Its 2nd Generation Equalized Pressure Technology (EPT) ensures the profile remains clean and efficient even when pushing through heavy headwinds. The result is a glide ratio and top-end speed that remain at the very top of the 2-liner EN-D category.
Hike-and-Fly Race Ready
Designed with input from Gin’s race athletes, the Puma is a masterpiece of weight optimization. Utilizing premium lightweight fabrics and a highly optimized internal rib structure, the XS size weighs in at just 3.83kg. This reduced mass makes it an ideal partner for ultra-light harnesses, allowing pilots to move faster on the ground and launch from technical spots where a heavier wing might struggle.
Elite Handling & Thermal Agility
In the air, the Puma feels direct and agile. The lightweight canopy has less inertia, providing a more "high-definition" picture of the air mass and allowing for lightning-fast reactions to small scraps of lift. This high agility makes it a master of weak thermals, while its refined B-riser control system allows for effortless pitch management during accelerated glides.
Effortless Launching in All Conditions
One of the most significant advantages of the Puma’s lightweight design is its launch behavior. It rises evenly and effortlessly in nil-wind conditions and remains easy to manage in stronger gusts—a critical advantage for pilots launching from high-altitude peaks or small clearings during adventure races.
