The Ozone F*Race 2 is the commercial evolution of the harness flown by elite athletes in the world's toughest hike-and-fly races. Engineered for pilots who prioritize a low-drag profile and minimum pack weight, the F*Race 2 delivers a high-performance pod experience in a package that weighs just 1.62kg (Size M). It is the perfect bridge between minimalist "string" harnesses and heavy competition pods.
Proven Dyneema Architecture
The foundation of the F*Race 2 is an ergonomic Dyneema thread pattern, a technology proven to distribute pilot weight evenly without the need for heavy internal frames. To enhance long-duration comfort, Ozone has added two stiffening rods in the back, providing excellent lumbar support for flights exceeding 10 hours. This "bucket seat" geometry offers responsive weight-shift authority while remaining stable in turbulent alpine air.
Rapid Inflatable Protection
Safety meets portability with the F*Race 2’s innovative inflatable protector. Certified to EN standards with an impressive peak impact rating of less than 32G, the protector spans from the thighs to the lumbar region. It can be fully inflated in seconds using the included 50g micro-pump or the standard inflation bag. For added convenience, a dedicated tube allows you to top up or adjust the pressure while in flight.
Aerodynamics & Tactical Storage
The F*Race 2 features a long rear fairing that significantly reduces drag and improves yaw stability during high-speed glides. Despite its race-focused design, storage is ample for technical vol-bivouac gear. It includes a high-volume rear compartment with a hydration sleeve, a large under-seat pocket, and a removable cockpit. Each side of the pod features easy-access pockets for cameras, snacks, or battery packs.
Simplified Gear-Up
Time is of the essence on a technical mountain launch. The F*Race 2 utilizes a simplified clip-in system with a fixed leg strap that doubles as an anti-forget safety feature. The harness is delivered with Xlite Connect soft links, ensuring a secure and lightweight connection to your wing. For hike-and-fly racing, the entire system packs down into a remarkably compact 450x320x120mm volume.
