Equalized Pressure Technology (EPT)

Despite its small size, the Griffin is packed with Gin’s signature EPT technology. This advanced aerodynamic profiling ensures the wing maintains high internal pressure across a wide range of angles of attack. The result is a wing that penetrates exceptionally well in strong winds and remains rock-solid in turbulent air, giving you the confidence to fly when larger wings are grounded.

Versatile Weight Range & EN-C Certification

The Griffin 16 features an incredibly wide certified weight range (55–105kg). Flown at the high end, it becomes a fast, dynamic machine that dives through turns—perfect for experienced speed-flying enthusiasts. At the lower end of the weight range, the dynamics are more manageable, allowing lighter pilots to enjoy its precision and agility for classic hike-and-fly and thermal soaring.

Ultralight Yet Durable

Weighing in at only 2.1kg, the Griffin fits easily into a 30-liter daysack. Gin has achieved this weight through an intelligent material mix: high-quality Porcher Skytex 27g and 32g fabric combined with sheathed lower and middle lines for durability. While it’s built for the mountains, it is designed to withstand the rigors of "all-terrain" use, from rocky take-offs to sandy dunes.

Precision Launching & Handling

Thanks to its compact size and shorter lines, the Griffin can be launched from technical, restricted spots where a full-sized wing would struggle. Once in the air, the handling is direct, precise, and "silky." The Kick Down Speed System allows for even greater speed penetration, while the 12mm Kevlar risers (with optional Dyneema upgrades) provide easy, ergonomic control.
