Description
Gin Fuse Mini: Expand Your Professional Possibilities
The Gin Fuse Mini is a specialized professional tandem tool designed to bridge the gap between solo wings and full-sized tandems. Developed specifically for high-wind conditions and lighter passengers (including children), the Fuse Mini builds on the legendary Fuse series but adds specific optimizations for higher wing loadings. It is the perfect "red button" wing for commercial pilots who want to fly safely and comfortably on days when others are grounded by wind.
Patented Wave Leading Edge Technology
The Fuse Mini is the first tandem in its class to feature Gin's Wave Leading Edge. Inspired by biomimicry, these tubercles delay airflow separation at high angles of attack. For the pilot, this means effortless inflation in strong winds with zero "shooting" tendency. The wing rises as a cohesive block and stays overhead, significantly reducing the physical effort required during technical or windy take-offs.
Extreme Speed & Penetration
Penetration is the Fuse Mini's superpower. With an increased top speed—offering approximately 16km/h over trim—it allows pilots to comfortably navigate strong valley winds or coastal breezes. Despite its high speed and smaller size, the wing remains exceptionally damped and compact in the air, retaining the energy needed for a smooth, authoritative flare during landing.
Agile "Solo-Like" Handling
Because of its smaller surface area and optimized 4.9 aspect ratio, the Fuse Mini offers handling that feels closer to a solo wing than a traditional tandem. It is agile, responsive, and cores thermals effortlessly. The super-light brake pressure ensures that even long working days or extended XC tandem flights remain comfortable and fatigue-free for the pilot.
Pro-Grade Durability & Material Mix
Built to withstand the rigors of professional use, the Fuse Mini utilizes exclusive fabrics developed with Myungjin. The lower surface features a 29g PU-based composite quattro-coated fabric for an optimal weight-to-durability ratio, while the leading edge uses MJ40 (40g) for maximum dimensional stability. The result is a lighter canopy that is easier to manage on the ground but tough enough for daily commercial cycles.
Innovative Big Ears & Trimmer System
The updated riser system features a 20% stronger trim webbing that is easily replaceable, reducing maintenance downtime. The innovative big ears system allows for rapid deployment and release via a split A-riser, while still giving the pilot the ability to steer with the brakes—an essential feature for precision glide path control on technical top landings.
