Description
Gin Camino 2: Embrace the Wilderness
The Gin Camino 2 is a lightweight 2-liner paraglider that brings competition-level technology to the world of adventure flying. Based on the successful Bonanza 3, the Camino 2 is specifically crafted for pilots who prioritize a compact pack volume and the agile handling characteristics of a lighter canopy. Whether you are scaling peaks for a hike-and-fly or pushing deep into the backcountry on a vol-biv mission, the Camino 2 delivers effortless performance without the weight.
Wave Leading Edge Technology
The Camino 2 introduces the Wave Leading Edge to the lightweight sports class. Inspired by the biomimicry of humpback whale fins, this technology delays airflow separation at high angles of attack. This allows the wing to maintain a better sink rate at low speeds and provides a more delayed, progressive stall—giving you a massive advantage when scratchy thermalling or landing in tight mountain spots.
Elite 2-Liner Efficiency
As a true 2-liner, the Camino 2 offers significantly reduced line drag and a direct connection to the wing through the rear risers. The optimized B-control bar allows for precise, effortless pitch management while flying accelerated on the speed bar. This "train-on-rails" stability enables you to stay on bar through turbulence, maximizing your average speed on long cross-country glides.
Superior Inflation & Lightweight Handling
Thanks to the reduced inertia of its lightweight fabric and a refined internal structure, the Camino 2 is remarkably easy to manage on the ground. It inflates smoothly in nil-wind and remains stable overhead without a tendency to shoot in stronger gusts. In the air, pilots will notice a more direct feel and lighter brake pressure compared to its standard-weight sibling, the Bonanza 3.
Nitinol Technology & Compact Packing
To ensure the wing remains a travel-friendly powerhouse, Gin has utilized Nitinol (Nickel-Titanium) rods. These allow the wing to be folded extremely tightly without risking permanent deformation of the profile. Combined with a strategic mix of Porcher Skytex 27g and 34g fabrics, the Camino 2 is over 1kg lighter than the Bonanza 3, making it the perfect partner for lightweight pod harnesses and long days on the trail.
