Derived from the highly successful Explorer 2, it offers the same top-tier glide and climbing ability but is constructed with heavier-duty fabrics. It is the ideal choice for XC pilots who want a wing that is informative and agile, but tough enough to handle rocky launches and varied mountain environments without the constant worry of fragility.

High-Aspect Efficiency with EPT Technology

Performance is at the heart of the Avid. Featuring Gin's 3rd generation Equalized Pressure Technology (EPT), the wing maintains constant internal pressure, which minimizes "breathing" and preserves a clean aerodynamic profile even in turbulent air. Its 6.07 flat aspect ratio is among the highest in its class, allowing it to keep pace with wings in the category above while maintaining the reassuring stability of an EN-B certification.

Durable Fabric for Harsh Environments

While many high-performance wings sacrifice durability for weight, the Avid uses specialized Myungjin MJ40MF and MJ32MF fabrics. Developed by Gin in collaboration with Myungjin, these materials offer exceptional resistance to porosity and abrasion. This makes the Avid the perfect companion for pilots who often find themselves launching from rocky, dusty, or high-wear take-offs where ultra-light materials might fail.

Smart Riser & C-Steering Control

The Avid is built for efficient gliding on speed bar. It comes equipped with a Smart Riser system featuring a control toggle and high-quality Harken pulleys. This setup allows pilots to use modern "C-riser steering" to manage pitch and direction during accelerated flight without deforming the wing's profile. This feature is essential for maintaining high average speeds on long cross-country missions.

Innate Pitch Stability & Precise Handling

Despite its sporty aspect ratio, the Avid is remarkably composed. It features high innate pitch stability, biting enthusiastically into lifty lines while settling quickly overhead.
